For those who choose a hybrid music/theater approach, the WATCH Center channel is designed to sonically complement the large Wilson loudspeakers, including WATT/Puppy and MAXX. Like the new Surround speaker, the second generation WATCH Center channel benefits from a significant (30%) increase in enclosure volume without an increase in cabinet size. This naturally translates into deeper bass extension, but the real magic happens in the midrange, where a center channel speaker does most of its work. Utilizing two of the midrange/woofer drivers from Sophia, the Wilson Center channel now boasts the same midrange dynamic speed and punch as the MAXX Series 2.
Tweeter
The Center Channel's tweeter is the same driver used in WATT/Puppy System 8 and the MAXX Series 2. The adjustable tweeter module facilitates precise phase alignment between the Center channel and the front stereo speakers, creating a completely coherent and three-dimensional sound field.
Crossover
Once again, the anti-jitter crossover technology derived from the large Wilson loudspeakers brings the same grain-free transparency to the Center channel. Dialogue emerges from a truly black background with unprecedented clarity and dimensionality.
